I found this book in a meme post from Debbie @ I Heart YA Books, so I say thank you for that, Debbie!

Series: The Erosians 1

Format: eBook
Language: English
Pages: 297
First Published: March 3, 2012

Goodreads Blurb: Look but don’t touch has never been more true…
The gods forbade her to love, but love is a powerful force. Acacia has been created purely for Eros’ pleasure but discovers within moments of being summoned into his presence that he has no interest in her whatsoever.
Rejected, she is banished to Earth to serve as Eros’ minion with the task of promoting the blissful state of love among all those around her, a state she must never indulge in with a human being herself on pain of immediate destruction. And then comes Josh, someone whose power of attraction over Acacia is so intense she will find it utterly impossible to resist him. But is he human? Is he a god? Or is he a trick of the gods? And what would happen should they kiss?

My Review:
Greek mythology? I’m in! Love gods/goddesses? Yep, I’m in! Confusion, hatred, possessiveness? Yes, please. Forbidden love? Look but don’t touch? Hell, yeah!
The way this started out – with confusion and hatred en masse – I had quite some expectations for the story, and was very excited to go on and find out more. I thought it continued on okay, but soon it became somewhat dragging and then totally abstract when I was 3/4 into the story. Don’t get me wrong, the last quater was basically the most interesting after the 2/4 that make up the middle part, but it was also totally out of line. It was just so not making sense why things would play out as they did, not with the logic of this world or ours. It just sounded forced and totally cliché, and that annoyed me – a lot.
However, the story and characters in itself do have potential, probably because they are kind of simple, and I’d really like to see how it ends, but I do doubt there’ll be any never-heard-of amazing material.

Rating: Style: 1/5 — Plot: 3/5 — Characters: 2/5 — Humor: 2/5 — Suspense: 3/5 — Drama: 4/5 — Action: 1/5 — Fantasy: 4.5/5
